MediGuru founder and CEO, Siva Nagalingam, and his team consisting of Chief Innovation Officer, Dr. Mark Kestner, and Senior Director of Business Development, John Theofelis, have announced the organization’s newly assembled Advisory Board that is filled with some of the industry’s brightest and most brilliant minds. MediGuru enables healthcare systems, provider networks, or payer networks to set up an operationally efficient Hybrid Care Solution. MediGuru is fully customized and branded as part of the customer’s Hybrid Care practice. The new board has been assembled to provide feedback and direction as MediGuru works to provide ongoing solutions to the healthcare market. Cathy K. Eddy. MBA – Is the founder and retired president of the Health Plan Alliance, an organization started by and for provider-sponsored health plans to help its members be more competitive in their markets. Cathy now is a strategic advisor for numerous companies, Sutter Health Plus board member, and speaker/facilitator addressing the challenges of health care reform, provider ownership, managed care trends, governance and innovation, accountable care, and future trends.
Balu Natarajan, M.D. Board-certified in internal medicine, hospice and palliative care, and sports medicine. He is the Chief Medical Officer of the hospice division AccentCare. He previously was the CMO at Seasons Hospice which was recently acquired by AccentCare. He is an NHPCO Board Member, former Member and Vice-Chair of the Public Policy Committee, and Chair of Palliative Care Council. Dr. Natarajan is a Faculty member for the Online Master of Science and Graduate Certificate in Palliative Care at the University of Maryland.
David B. Nash, MD, MBA – Board-certified internist, Founding Dean Emeritus, Dr. Raymond C. and Doris N. Grandson Professor of Population Policy, Jefferson College of Population Health. Dr. Nash is internationally recognized for his work in public accountability for outcomes, physician leadership, and quality-of-care improvement.
Herman Williams,MD,MBA – Currently serves as the Chief Physician Executive for the Harbenbergh Group, a privately held Healthcare firm specializing in the placement of medical staff professionals, hospital medical directors, and interim physician leadership as well as a full-service consulting firm supporting medical staff governance, Compliance, Survey prep, and Executive Coaching. Dr. Williams has been a healthcare consultant in multiple organizations including BDO and Greely Company as well as Chief Medical Officer in multiple organizations including RCCH, Vanguard, and Baptist Health System in San Antonio.
John W. Peabody, MD, DTM&H, MPhil, Ph.D., FACP – Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dd. Peabody is a Professor for the Departments of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Medicine at UCSF School of Medicine and a Professor of the Department of Health Services at UCLA. John is the Founder and President of QURE, a highly successful company that engages providers and improves the quality of clinical care, lowers costs, and supports care transformation—results which he routinely publishes in the peer-review literature.
Mark R. Montoney, MD, MBA – Board-certified Internist with added qualifications in Geriatric Medicine. He serves as a Senior Advisor for Martin Ventures, a healthcare-focused venture capital firm. He has served as the Chief Medical Officer for Contessa Health, a company engaged in scaling an innovative hospital-at-home model, as well as Chief Medical Officer for multiple health systems including Tenet Healthcare, Vanguard Health Systems, and OhioHealth.
Shawn Hersevoort, MD, MPH – Board Certified Psychiatrist. He serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Foresight, a mental health and wellness clinic providing members with a wide range of treatments and services related to improving mental health and lifestyle. He previously served in Executive roles in Life Stance Health and Pacific Coast Psychiatric Associates. Dr. Hersevoort has an extensive educational background with numerous recognitions/awards and has even held the highly regarded position of Director of Integrated Psychiatry at UC Davis Medical School.
Tilman Jolly, MD – Board-certified Emergency Physician, maintains senior academic faculty appointments at the George Washington University and the University of Virginia and is formerly Chief Medical Officer of SOC Telemed. Dr. Jolly has industry-leading expertise in venture-funded healthcare growth companies with a specific emphasis on clinical quality, standards development, and risk management in telemedicine.
